I was driving down the "Canyon Road" between Yakima and Ellensburg in Washington State (the same week I bought my first DSL camera). I saw it fly in front of me, I pulled over quickly, and I luckily got some great shots! I was taking pictures in JPG wihout really knowing it. I now know to take pictures in RAW format :-)

In Washington State between two small towns (Ellensburg and Yakima) there is a canyon. It's like a miniature Grand Canyon. There are often eagles

This is the same as my other photo, but I'm learning about adjusting the exposure and deepening the colors.

The waves were really cool, so I took a few shots. I happened to catch a cormorant flying by (lower left).

I was up fairly early out on the beach, and tried my best to get the background and these cute little sanderlings.

I liked the lines in this photo, and the way the beak of the bird matches the twig shapes.

This bird seems alive and the golden plants pop out of the picture. I took this photo from Alki Beach in Seattle.

These little birds don't stay still for long. I managed to get this one chirping away!
