Behind The Lens

Location

This photo, along with my others, was taken during a hiking in Romanian mountains. This one is Ciucas (1954 m), seen from his brother, Zaganu (1883 m).

Time

It was about noon, in a windy day with more dramatic "running" clouds in the evening, when we were simply covered by them in a wonderful game of colors ... and low temperature.

Lighting

Yes: it was a perfect day for mountain trekking :-)

Equipment

For the moment, in my hiking tours, I take a small and easy camera (350 g) - Fujifilm X10 (+ sky filter, lens hood). No flash, no tripod. If a steady hand is needed, I put the camera on a rock or on my backpack lying down on earth.

Inspiration

Everybody likes nature ... and Romania has a lot of beautiful landscapes. I am just an amateur in photography but if you're willing to see more, check the gallery of www.carpati.org, or other Romanians photographers :-)

Editing

I just cropped it a little.

In my camera bag

An easy one, for the moment, because I walk nine to ten hours on mountain trails, with considerable overall altitude difference. These tours are for enjoying the nature first, capturing images second. Maybe one day, I will do exclusive photo tours ...

Feedback

Just a suggestion: keep your eyes on the landscape around you, from time to time. The beauty is there. Most of the people tend to look only their path, head down, missing the nature's pictures.
