Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taking near my home,on the A 27 road on the Chichester Bypass in West Sussex.

Time

I took this photo quite late in the afternoon at 10:40 pm on 24 June 20016.

Lighting

I try to use the light available in which I can get a clear separation from the red light from the rear of the the vehicle and the white light from the vehicle headlight.

Equipment

This shot was taken using Cannon EOS 5D Mark III with a 100 mm f 2.8 lens and a tripod. No other equipment was used

Inspiration

Am a self taught photographer all of the image that have I have taken has always been still photo. So I was given a task with improving photography range by taking some long exposure photos.

Editing

I don't have to do much post-processing in this other than decrease the highlights compensate for the Headlight from the vehicle going away from me.And increase the shadows to show the trees by the road side.

In my camera bag

The equipment that I normally have in my bag are Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L II USM Lens best thing about this lens is its sharpness and contrast it is a versatile lens that can be use for portraits and landscape. The second Lens that I use is Canon EF 100mm f2.8L Macro IS USM Lens which I use to get detail shots.I use the cannon EOS 5D Mark III which is a very versatile camera.

Feedback

Always have the image that you want to shot in mind, and how can you show it in the camera. For the image that I capture I choice a spot over looking a fairly busy road ( when choosing a location it is very important that you stay safe and that you would not damage you equipment). The time of day is important to consider as well, because you will be shooting the vehicle light so a late afternoon or early dawn when the driver will have there vehicle light on.
