Such an incredible story behind this Photograph! The colors, the water puddles, the ripped up door and walls, brings this whole thing to life. The woman's expression adds so much depth to it. Keep it up!

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in an abandoned retirement home. We used the fire stairs to get in the building.

Time

Afternoon.

Lighting

It was for the assignment "portrait window light". So I need only natural light.

Equipment

Tripod, Canon 600D and my grandmother.

Inspiration

I knew the location and that specific green hallway. I wanted to make a photo with the story that she was left behind in the abandoned retirement home.

Editing

Just the local contrast for more details.

In my camera bag

My Canon 600D and 10-18mm wide angle lens. For photographing abandoned buildings is this a great lens. I have also a 18-55 and a 55-250mm.
