I don't think I've ever felt so at home as I did in Alaska. The air was crisp and fresh, and there was something beautiful to see at every turn. I took a train ride and was lucky enough to end up on the back of the train, on a car that had been redesigned for a visit from Queen Elizabeth in the 60s. This platform, substantially larger than the others, allowed me to stand on the platform for most of the train ride instead of having to trade places with others, most of whom were happy to ride inside and look out the windows. With both cameras in tow, so as not to miss a thing, I happily shot photos for most of the ride. I ended up with a lot of great scenes, but this one was my favorite from the ride. The colors aren't enhanced; it's really quite that beautiful there.
