Always wanted to see red squirrels and finally I did! They are bigger than I thought they were and even more adorable! Red Squirrel numbers are declining due habitat loss and being ousted by grey squirrels, so feel very lucky to have seen this one. Really hope we can protect them before we lose them all.

Hi. lovely shot, you are very lucky to get this opportunity! I have a picture of a black squirrel on my profile if you haven't seen one. It only had one eye because the grey squirrels kept attacking it because it was different.

He is a beauty and yes, we rarely get to see them anymore as their numbers have declined over the past 30 or so years. Glad you were able to get such a beautiful shot! Congrats on your win....well deserved!
