Just a normal wave photographed at midday on a slightly overcast day in Outer Banks, NC. The conditions were totally unspectacular, but when quickly converted to B+W (I need to spend more time in Lightroom!) the shape of the wave jumped out and the image became rather beautiful. This was photographed with a weatherproof Fujifillm X-T1 held just inches above the water as 3' waves came rolling in. I'd fire of many shots in burst mode, then lift the camera out of the path of the wave at the last moment. Conditions didn't seem favorable for capturing anything interesting, but this shot turned out great.
