Location
Actually, this photo was taken on the floor of my photography teacher's classroom. There was a giant window and she lied down in front of the window to create the light in her eyes.Time
I am still a student and Photography is my favorite class. I look forward to being able to go to class and show my ideas and creativity. Class is after i eat my lunch so I took the photo around 1:00 in the afternoon.Lighting
This project was a submission for my semester final project. I was inspired by the fashion section of a photography book. I was inspired of course by color, but the lighting tied the piece together. I wanted her to have a light look in her eyes, almost dreamlike or hopeful.Equipment
I shot this with a Canon EOS Rebel T3. I actually did not use a Tri-pod for this shot. I bent down next to her to take the shot.Inspiration
I was inspired by fashion photography and color the most. I love fashion photographers like Richard Avedon and Annie Leibovitz. I love color and i had so much fun putting powdered paint on her face. She seemed to have fun with it too, as she wore it for the rest of the school day! I wanted her to look beautiful in the little glimpse of her face that you can see. She looks beautiful, light, and colorful. It is my favorite photo.Editing
The only thing I did was some light cropping and made it slightly brighter. Not too much post processing! In my camera bag
In my Canon bag, I have my camera and its lens. I have a small clothe to clean the lens, just in case it gets dirty. Of course, I have a battery charger just in case it dies, but I would like to invest in a second one, as it is more convenient to have another one on hand. Finally, I typically have a USB chord so I can upload photos onto my computer.Feedback
it is not a hard shot to take, it is just long. Be patient. But most importantly, have fun! It was so fun to take, so be creative and enjoy the process. It's as simple as that.
