The picture was taken at home out in my garden - we have a pond, and this little fellow was the first lily to bloom.Time
Around mid-afternoon - I remember pretty clearly, as I passed this little bud in the morning, and by the time I had passed it again, it had opened up to greet the sun!Lighting
Not really - Unfortunately this was shot with a smartphone, so I couldn't really control the lighting if I wanted to get the flower in the shot.Equipment

I was just wandering around my garden taking random pictures of flowers to try and brighten up my desktop, when I came across this, and I absolutely had to add it to my collection of flower pictures. It literally represents everything I like about the summer - the bright colours, the vibrancy of life, the cool water etc.Editing
