The last sunset I saw from the RMS St Helena as we neared Cape Town. This was my final voyage of 6 on the ship over a 2 year period. The ship was due to be decommissioned this year with the airport opening on the island of St Helena. Sadly, issues with wind shear have meant a delay in the airport opening, and no opening date has been set yet. The RMS St Helena has had it's operational life extended till at least July 2017. While I'm glad the ship's life has been extended I hope that the airport issues are eventually overcome.
