Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my backyard in Northeast Iowa.

Time

It was starting to stop snowing after snowing all day, and I thought I would go outside to capture the fresh snow. My dog, molly came with me because she loves playing in the fresh snow. I was focused on a tree and I looked down to see molly posing so perfectly, so I quickly got down to her eye level and said her name as I captured the photograph. It was captured around noon.

Lighting

I wanted to capture my dogs face as the snow landed on, and for her to be framed in white snow.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS Rebel T5i camera with the lens that came with the camera. No other equipment was needed.

Inspiration

I never planed on taking this picture. It just happened. I saw the scene and wanted to capture the beautiful moment in front of me.

Editing

I did not do any post-processing.

In my camera bag

I pack my Canon EOS Rebel T5i, my 2 lenses, my sense filters, and always extra memory cards.

Feedback

That the perfect photo doesn't alway have to be a planed photograph, it is usually the spur of the moment photographs that turn out the best. Also you always need to be ready to take a picture, because when the opportunity comes to take a great photograph, it may not be there for very long.
