while visiting the eroding banks of the Ganges (near Hulor ghat,Mayapur, Nadia, west bengal,India)at the confluence of the Jalangi river and the Ganges,a stunning profile of a palsied woman leapt on to my lens, as if from the depth of the engulfing river itself. it emerged as the epitome of the mother Ganges- helplessly witnessing the peril she is ushering upon her offsprings.the shoreline registers the fatigued agelines-on the forehead, the eyeside and on the cheek and chin .the mother is sighing; yet a queer smile is hanging on her lips- she apologizes;" i did not want to do it, you have turned milk into this gall; you have compelled me to gobble my own children".

make your eyes to see what comes to your sight, remember great artist and writer ABANINDRA NATH TAGORE, who said ,'' i try to write picture.''
