Location
I took this photo in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. I am taking photographs for the past 32 years and I see a picture in everything.Time
This picture was taken at about noon. It is not the best time of day, but if the opportunity like this appears, you cannot ask the leopard to wait for dusk or dawn before you take the picture now can you?Lighting
i did not like the lighting at all. The action makes up for it!Equipment
I took this picture with my Nikon D5100 handheld, with a 70-300 lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
Wildlife was the mission of the day. I went with a game ranger and was hoping to get some awesome shots. This was it!Editing
I just brought the brightness and the contrast down a bit.In my camera bag
I have 3 Nikon Cameras, the J1, D3200 as well as the D5100. I have a 18-55, a 55-200, a 18-105 and a 70-300 lens in my bag. The J1 has a 10-30 and a 30-110 lens. All three are always with me (in my vehicle) One never know what opportunity arises to get the shot you've been waiting for all your life. I also take pictures with my Samsung Note 4 Cellphone when I don't have a camera with me. I always say, it is not the equipment that matters, it is the 2 to 3 mm behind the viewfinder that does.Feedback
I was waiting for about 40 minutes to get this shot. Needless to say, you have to be patient (or quick) to get a picture like this.
