Location
This photo was taken in the Nemishaevo village which is near the Kyiv. The place is really fantastic. It has an old mansion there is lying in ruins there. My model sitting in a ruins of a small tower that was really nice decades ago.Time
I remember we did this shot in the midday, and can't say that that was easy. The weather was perfect for sun bathing - no clouds, no wind, no shadows.Lighting
It was a really hot and sunny day, I was unable to shoot because of sunlight. It was a real nightmare, I didn't knew what to do and how to deal with a light, because there was no unharmed room in the mansion. And then I saw a tower with some sort of a shadow inside. The shadow was really soft and I was afraid that it's not good enough.Equipment
I used Canon 50D camera with a Sigma 35mm 1.4/f lenses for this shotInspiration
I don't know why we have decided to make this Wednesday Addams look photo session in the middle of the Summer, moreover in the sunny day. But something pushed us to go and so we did.Editing
Few years ago it was unspeakable idea to release something without editing. I had been making a full body retouch and a makeup, added light-effects and texture. But in nowadays it's over. Generally I make some small editing in the Lightroom and it works fine for me. I did not cover graffiti on the walls, or hair on my models face. I wanted it look natural. In my camera bag
Not much equipment in my bag generally. You could find there a Camera, lenses and reflector. My favorite lens so far is Sigma 35mm f/1.4 and I always have it with me. The second one is very old Jupiter-9 White 2/85 Mm M39 Lens, I love it because of it color distortions and also it's only portrait lens I have so far.Feedback
Avoid the sunlight and what until the Fall. It's hard to work with such ideas and visuals without gray clouds and yellowish leaves of the trees.
