Behind The Lens

Location

This was on the backroads in Northford, CT in February, 2016. The sun was starting to set with the clouds in reddish orange and the sky in spectacular blue.

Time

It was 5:38 PM, February 20, 2016, Saturday.

Lighting

The lighting was perfect with the sun setting behind me causing the clouds to illuminate that reddish orange and the sky a clear blue.

Equipment

Canon EOS T3i Rebel, Lens 55-250. Hand held - no tripod or monopod used.

Inspiration

It was that moment in time I saw this landscape while driving on the backroad on my way home. I spotted this house sitting way in the back of a field wtih the tree line behind it. There was a cast of golden light in the early sunset that highlighted the field and lit up the sky that inspired me to stop and photoshoot. I had this feeling of spirituality and was moved by nature.

Editing

No I did no post-processing.

In my camera bag

My Canon EOS T3i camera body, Canon 55-250 lens, Canon 18-55 lens, and a non-stabile imaging Canon 18-55 lens. Plus a Nikon 70 Coolpix as my packup. Lens cleaner, charger, extra batteries, and extra SD cards.

Feedback

Late February can have the most beautiful sunsets with spectaular coloring of clouds and bluest sky. Driving along country back roads can be most inspirational to photoshoot landscape.
