Location
This is a photo in a newly found passage that we named Twiglet Passage in the Blue Water Cave system, North Luzon, Philippines. During a British / Filipino Caving Expedition with Bristol Exploration Club & Sierra Madre Outdoor Club.Time
This was shot in a cave it was around 5pm but time doesn't matter as it's always dark.Lighting
I used a Yongnuo 240g Flash which Hannah is holding tight to her body.Equipment
Lumix LX7Inspiration
I try to capture caving photos that show my love of caving, not only the beauty but action ones too. This newly found passage was amass of pristine formations.Editing
I would have use Gimp 2 to slightly darken the image. In my camera bag
I use a Peli Case that holds my Lumix LX7, 1 Yungnuo Flash with radio firer & a mega 1800 Lumen torch for any long exposure shots.Feedback
The biggest problem with cave photography is getting the lighting right. I usually take loads of shots aiming the flash in different positions to bounce off the white formations. Also holding the camera low to avoid steam that's coming off your body.
