Location
The photo was taken at home pop up studio in Durham, i am a A-level photography student, who is hoping to carry photography on to university.Time
This photo was for a macro project i was doing in Photography, the natural light wasn't bright enough so i decided to waiting until dark to then take the photo.Lighting
I wanted this photo to be very bright and colourfully in the same way Sarah Graham paints hers, but i also didn't want it to be so heavy edited. So i invested in a pop up studio kit for macro (small objects) photography, and that worked wonderfully.Equipment
This was shot on Canon 100D, 18-55mm lens, macro pop up studio, 2 sheets of bright blue acrylic.Inspiration
I was inspired by Sarah Graham because all of her work is incredibly eye catching, vibrant and so different to any other artist. Sarah often reflects on her childhood memories, to inspire herself to paint new things. On her website it says that she thought how wonderful it would to be hand paint cells and characters in Disney films, this is what inspired her the most.Editing
Before finishing this photo, i increased the brightness and the contrast of the shadows on the default mac photo editor to access the best quality of the photo. In my camera bag
I always bring my Canon 100D camera, with the standard lens (15-18mm) and the Canon wide angle lens (10-18mm)Feedback
Look at some similar artists to what you want to do, so that you can get inspired first. Be noisy and look what other equipment photographer's are currently using.
