A piece from my current series of sleep paralysis inspired photographs. I transform these terrifying dream world experiences into haunting works of art. I reference my post-nightmare sketches while building each concept, picking up on tones of restraint, torment, and pure terror. I create each prop and costume for my characters, which are most often myself as the model. I set my camera on my tripod to allow me to act in each scene, turning the scope of the camera into my stage. Each piece I create acts as a therapy for the daunting task of bearing with these daunting sleep experiences.
