Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the countryside in South Iceland where I have a cottage. I am a self tought photographer and would love to learn more professionally as I respect the Art of photography being a graphic designer myself.

Time

The photo is shot late afternoon in late september when the fall sun shines vertically on the subject - a Icelandic horse starting to grow its winter fur.

Lighting

I love how the light shines through the feet and fur and how the setting sun highlights the colour of the fur. Fall and winter give such great natural lighting opportunities.

Equipment

A Nikon DS3200 with a Sigma 150-500mm lens

Inspiration

I take my camera with me always - and inspiration comes from nature.

Editing

Some sharpening and warming of colours.

In my camera bag

Just my camera and a couple of lenses.

Feedback

Patience, framing, light, waiting for the right moment - remain focused and making sure to focus :-)
