Location
This image was taken at "The Horn" at Mt Buffalo, Victoria, AustraliaTime
It was taken around midnight while two friends and I were chasing Aurora AustralisLighting
We light painted our subject with our iPhone torch. However a couple of people were there already and with purple LED strip lights which caused a colour cast in our long exposures so we asked if they'd mind turning off their lightsEquipment
I captured this image with my Nikon D7000 using a Nikor 10-24mm lens borrowed from my Dad. My camera was mounted on my Manfrotto tripodInspiration
I've always wanted to create an image at "The Horn" as I love the leading line of the wallEditing
I used iPiccy or post processing (yes, it's a destructive editor). I tweaked the saturation and slightly cropped the original imageIn my camera bag
I normally carry my lens puffer, CP and ND4 filter along with my 18-55mm, 55-300mm and my 35mm. I also carry my remote trigger, pen and model release and large zip lock bag incase of rainFeedback
You need lots of patience, warm clothes and great company while waiting to capture Lady Aurora
