Location
This was taken in North Pole, Alaska on my way home from a friendsTime
This was around midnight so the sun was just getting ready to really go down, so I was pretty much in the right place at the right time.Lighting
The lighting of the picture pretty much says it all.Equipment
I was using a canon rebel t6i with just the standard 18-55 mm lens. I had to park my car and run back on the small bridge to capture this. No tripod was used.Inspiration
I am always looking for some sort of nature picture to snap. I usually drive with my camera on my lap just cause you never know when that perfect picture is going to show up. I had seen the orange sky while driving prior to this and when I crossed and seen this I knew I had to stop and get this picture to share with every one.Editing
The only thing I messed with was darken it just a hair. I don't like altering my photos so much that it basically isn't my picture anymore. I try keeping it as natural as possible. In my camera bag
Since I just got my camera, that I've been wanting for years, this last Christmas 2015 I don't really have that much in my bag. I have my lens, a charger, my cleaning kit, an extra memory card, a thumb drive, and that's basically it.Feedback
Alaska is an amazing place to photograph. I'm sure there are many places with slough and sunsets though. Just have to keep an eye out and a camera ready. :-)
