Behind The Lens

Location

The pictures was taken in Indonesia Bali Tulamben, I have been taking underwater pictures for the last three years.

Time

The picture was taken during night dive to get the fish close to the light.

Lighting

The challenge was to take the pictures from underneath the fish and model as those fish will not swim far away from the bottom and the picture was taken without looking at the viewfinder.

Equipment

I am using Nikon D810 both with Seacam Housing, Dual Seacam Strobe, the lens for Wide Angle is 16-35mm.

Inspiration

The shoot was planned as the day before I noticed that the Razorfish were attracted by the red light. Therefore I plan the shoot with my Dive Guide Ajiex Dharma from Tulamben.

Editing

I adjust slightly the contrast, exposure, clarity and black.

In my camera bag

I am using Nikon D800 and D810 both with Seacam Housing, Dual Seacam Strobe and Dual Inon Z240 strobes. My Favorites lens for macro is 105 and for Wide Angle 16-35mm and 14-24mm for underwater.

Feedback

Be patient and plan your shot and have a good communication with your model.
