I loved the contrasts that came out with this photo I took at the Santa Barbara zoo about a year ago. I was using a cheap Sigma 70-300 variable aperture lens but thought the quality of light (albeit close to direct overhead sun) helped me to get such a sharp image, even through the enclosure fence. A true symbol of freedom even from the confines of a zoo.
