This image was taken in the City of Cape Town , South Africa .It is a suburb called Bo Kaap 'Upper Cape' and is situated on the foothills of Signal Hill flanked by Table Mountain.The colorful houses represent Cape Malay culture in Cape Town. Many of the residents are descendants of slaves from Malaysia , Indonesia and other African countries.

Location

The name of the place is Bo Kaap or 'Upper Cape' shot in the City of Cape Town just below Signal Hill.

Time

This image was taken on a crisp Saturday morning in July 2016 ,about 10:30 in the morning

Lighting

The picture was taken in slightly overcast conditions in the morning.

Equipment

Cannon EOS 700D with 50 to 75mm lens. No tripod or flash was used.

Inspiration

The pastel coloured houses of this area , also known as the Malay Quarter is a historical center of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town...the people who live here paint their houses during the holy month.The residents meet to discuss which colour each household will choose.

16 GB SD Card. Canon EOS 700D...50mm lens , 75mm lens and 300mm lens. With tripod
