In Little Rock, Arkansas we have a walking bridge known as the Big Dam (or damn!) Bridge. It extends the width of the Arkansas River and goes over the rivers largest dam (hence the name). I walk that bridge a couple of times a week. This just happens to be from one of my walks. Summers in Arkansas are very humid with little rain. The haze and coloring are nothing more than a mixture of humidity and smog.

Behind The Lens

Location

In Little Rock, Arkansas there are several series of bridges. One of the walking bridges is known as “The Big Dam Bridge” over Murray Lock and Dam...the biggest dam on the Arkansas River. The mountain is called “Pinnacle” where it may appear to be a volcano it is simply a mountain.

Time

This is one of my favorite shots! I love dusk and beautiful sunsets on the water! It reminds me that even endings can be beautiful!

Lighting

The credit for the lighting in this photo goes directly to the Good Lord Above (MY God!). I in no way edited this photo!

Equipment

Nothing more than a Sony cyber-shot was used.

Inspiration

Simply the pure beauty and uniqueness of the smog and humidity that evening!
