Location
This photo was taken while driving back from Lewistown, MT. My father, who had fallen into the depths of mental illness, was placed in a hospital there. My mother and I would often make this drive from our hometown, Billings. On this day there was road construction, so I had to pull over and wait for the oncoming traffic to pass. I wandered down this dirt road and this was the site I saw, it was early dusk. It was the last time I travelled that road...as it was the last time I saw my father, Rueben.Time
It was early dusk. At the end of summer. The sun was starting to set much earlier than the prior months.Lighting
I used the sun's own rays for my lighting.Equipment
Just my camera. Olympus.Inspiration
It was the spot. The moment. The reason.Editing
I did add a touch of purple to the road.In my camera bag
Camera, zoom lens..chips.Feedback
I appreciate this opportunity. I am still learning my way with this process of capturing images. I think that I personally do best when I am just shooting shots of what I love. It comes naturally. In this case, of The BigSky Country or as we say "God's Country"....Montana.
