Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a place called Ghajn tuffieha in Malta.

Time

This photo was taken during sunset after waiting for about 45 minutes for the sun to start dipping behind the horizon.

Lighting

I wanted this picture to capture some of the vast Maltese history by including the watch tower and complete the picture with an amazing sunset that i was fortunate enough to get.

Equipment

I used the Olympus omd em5 mark 2, the 12-50mm lens and a carbon fiber tripod.

Inspiration

I had seen many pictures of such towers on social media but none of them really captured the moment in my opinion so i decided to give such image a go.

Editing

Normal light room post processing. Adjusting contrast, highlights shadows.

In my camera bag

Camera body ( now i have switched to sony), 2 lenses the 24-70 f4 and an 18mm batis lens, a filter system (made up of graduated ND filters and ND filters), tripod, cleaning equipment, water and a snack :)

Feedback

Be patient, be prepared and dont worry if you didnt get image that you had visualized but go again and again until you get that image.
