Behind The Lens

Location

This was shot from Crystal Cove beach between Newport and Laguna in Southern California

Time

Sunset.

Lighting

I have a penchant to shoot sunsets; no two are alike. Generally, the sun appears as a distant main character. This particular evening the sun seemed other-worldly and I felt if I just reached out, I could touch it.

Equipment

Canon G3X. Handheld.

Inspiration

Some friends were reunited and reminiscing at the hard-to-get Crystal Cove Cottages [a heritage community available via national parks]. I took a walk down the beach to enjoy the serenity of the moment.

Editing

Some basic enhancements: crop, contrast.

In my camera bag

Uhhh ... that's it. Just a camera! And a lens cloth. I seem to be out in inclement weather frequently.

Feedback

Always. Be. Shooting.
