Location
This photo was taken on a secluded side road in the middle of nowhere, Iowa. My mom, fiancé and I thought we were on a scenic road that was going to be a lot different, but ended up at a dead end, with this neat old barn at the end of the road!Time
This was taken some time between 3 and 4pm.Lighting
The road we were on was all open at first and slowly, the trees began getting thicker. Before long there were trees everywhere, with only hints of natural light. The barn itself had an opening in the trees with its own radiating light, which helped to make this picture so neat looking.Equipment
The only equipment I used was a Nikon Coolpix L820 and the edge of my mom's backseat window where I was sitting.Inspiration
I loved the way the barn looked against the trees. And red is one of my favorite colors, so naturally, I was drawn to it. It was just set up so perfectly and I knew I had to capture this masterpiece.Editing
I mainly wanted to bring out and highlight the red of the barn, to make it pop out against the green of the trees. In my camera bag
Usually I try to keep my extra SD cards, charger, tripod adapter, extra battery, camera strap, and so much more with me.Feedback
Don't be afraid to go looking down small side roads in the country... You never know what you will see and find! It could be your next great masterpiece shot!
