The photo was taken outside, in the city of Montpellier. I am a self taught photographer, each shoot has a lot of improvisation to be as creative as possible.Time
This photo was taken on Avril 24, 2016 end of the afternoon. This day, the light was really beautiful. I was in a wonderful place with a lot of flowers and plants. It was obviously the best place to do something interresting.Lighting
I am a photographer who loves daylight, i love playing with shadows and lights. For this picture, i really enjoyed the beautiful intense light of this day. I walk without thinking to let the improvisation take place.Then i find an ideal place when i see the face of the model reflecting shadows and lights stains. I think there is something really interresting to do there and now.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 5D Mark III, with an Canon 50mm F/1.4 lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
This was improvisation. When i saw this amazing place, creativity took over. No other picture inspired me to do this one. The big difficulty for me was to deal with the light and manage to make the model more beautiful. For me, the environement was important, and i wanted to manage an interresting bokeh to make the picture as smooth as possible. At the end, i wanted to pass the emotion of the model lost in her thoughts in the middle of the foliages. Now, this photo was the start of a new album in my book: "Darkness to the light"Editing
For the post processing, the idea was simple: manage to do the sweetest picture as possible and increase the emotion. I played with shadows and lights accentuating this eye, wich became the central point of the picture.In my camera bag
The frist thing, i always pack is my Canon 50mm F/1.4, the fixed lens 50mm F / 1.4 lens is my favorite definitely, I prefer to move me to bring my creativity to the maximum. I have Canon 5D mark III body, then Canon 24-105mm which is useful for all situations. And finally, I still have my dragonne to be comfortable to shoot.Feedback
It's not easy for me to give a method, because that's a lot of improvisation. I would say you have to know how to catch the light and shadows. And of course, play with bokeh. Then i would recommand ah fix lense because it makes you move around the model and find new angles.
