Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in San Juan La Union, Philippines. The locals and tourists like to visit this place to surf.

Time

It was sunset. So probably around 6 PM.

Lighting

The lighting is natural. I did not used any lighting equipment.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3000.

Inspiration

This was just another ordinary day in my province but I guess ordinary can be special and beautiful. I wanted to capture the gentle sway of this grass with a warm sunset on the background. I took this photo back in October 2010 when I was trying to practice my DSLR camera (still practicing...) I'm not an expert or a professional photographer. I just love to capture moments and images from my travels.

Editing

I did not do any post processing for this particular image.

In my camera bag

Just my Nikon D3000. (Still using it until now. It's the only DSLR camera i have.. haha)

Feedback

Play on the composition of foreground and background. Look for an interesting material for a foreground and lay it out with a nice landscape or color for a background. I think it's a good way to practice the focus of your camera.
