I took this image early this year and it has to be one of my all time favorites. I planned to go for a fulmar shoot at Land's End when the sun would be lighting the foreground but leaving the cliffs behind in shadow. I tried shooting with an auto ISO but the cameras metering would expose to the shadows not the bird. I quickly switched to manual settings and did a few test shots to get the exposure right. Then I just spent as long as it took to get the auto focus locked onto the bird so that I could get the shots I wanted. When this one came out as it did after a few minor tweaks in Lightroom I was chuffed!
