Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken at my home, which is always a best place for me to bring out creativity without getting tired.

Time

It was the best time not only for the day but indeed for the year perfectly matched with the occasion it was my 4th Marriage anniversary and I managed to get this idea and clicked just before celebrating the occasion, it was 10-June-2015, 17:44.

Lighting

As the picture was taken entirely at home and the time of the day was not permitting me to do some creativity with natural light so I was bound to use the external light to get the nice white spread of light all around. I used my SB600 Nikon Flash(Remote Mode) with diffuser umbrella to get the ample light for the shot.

Equipment

This was shot on Nikon D7100 with Nikkor 18-105 lens. Tripod, Visico Light stand (LS8005) for my Nikkon SB600 Flash and Phottix diffuser Umbrella, Nikon remote shutter were the equipment used to capture this photo.

Inspiration

Inspiration came from my beautiful wife and the occasion which driven me to think out of the box

Editing

Usually I don't do a lot of processing on the photos which are clicked good. This picture is one of them, what all I did is the monochrome conversion and brightness and contrast touch.

In my camera bag

Although I have changed my camera and upgraded to full frame Nikon D750 and did bought the masterpiece lens 24-70mm f2.8, that's always there in the camera bag apart from that I do carry my SB600 Flash, additional SD Cards, remote shutter, Nikkor 50mm f1.8G is another lens which I love to shoot with, Battery charger, rain cover, Torch, AA batteries, Cleaning set are some of the key stuff you will always find in my camera bag

Feedback

Only one thing which plays the key role here is the light and positioning of the subject. If you get them right you will snap it right. If you are using the garyfong's magical spherical diffuser I think you will get more prettier result. I just received mine will surely try the shot with it.
