The CPL filter helped shave a few stops off so I could slow down the shutter speed and add some motion blur to the water.Equipment
I believe this was taken on my first camera the Canon 700D with a Sigma 10-20mm f/4 lens and Promaster CPL filter; not the best equipment but good value for money.Inspiration
I remember having a tough time at my full-time job so going out and taking these photos helped me escape; even if it was just for a couple of hours.Editing
There wasn't too much processing done - I mostly just enhanced the colours a bit and added some contrast.In my camera bag
I try and only take what I think I'll need otherwise I'll be lugging half a studio around with me. For example, if I was doing a family portrait I'd bring a reflector, 70-200mm lens, and a flash. I might also bring a 50mm because they're pretty small lenses. For this photo, I had a tripod, CPL filter and 10-20mm lens.Feedback
Google maps help's me find places of interest, visit places during the week or when there will be few civilians around and don't be affraid to make mistakes.
