This is a Mitchell's Satyr butterfly. This little fella landed on the arm-rest on my truck door. Upon some quick research I learned two interesting facts about this butterfly.
One is that it's a rare butterfly common mainly in just Michigan & Indiana. And two, it's an endangered species of butterfly. Both Michigan & Indiana have recovery programs in place to save this butterfly.
