Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my back porch. I am an avid bird watcher and that was my primary reason for getting a camera. I am now an avid amateur photographer.

Time

I love sitting on the porch in the morning and I watch for the birds to come feed.

Lighting

I usually prefer to use natural lighting whenever possible and on this day it was perfect.

Equipment

This was taken with a Canon SX60 HD using natural lighting.

Inspiration

This beautiful Yellow-Rumped Warbler landed on the porch rail and struck a perfect pose.

Editing

The only editing I did was cropping it.

In my camera bag

I always have my camera, a tripod and a scope (which I'm learning how to shoot pictures through).

Feedback

When shooting birds you should always have your camera ready and don't be afraid to take lots of shots. Sometimes I'll take 10 or more to get that one perfect photo.
