Location
I took this photo in my front yard in Masury Ohio after a rainstorm.Time
The time of day was around 4:00 pmLighting
The lighting was diffused natural as the day was cloudy.Equipment
I used a Canon T5 with a Canon 55-250mm lens no flash and handheld.Inspiration
I had taken a photo of my roses with raindrops once before but it did not have a good result. I remembered seeing a rain covered rose as a photo in the newcomer page that I thought was awesome so I asked What settings they used and used that as a starting point. I then moved around and changed setting until I achieved the results I was looking for.Editing
Yes, I did some minor tweaking with the contrast and saturation. In my camera bag
I normally carry my camera, two to three lenses, my flash unit and three batteries,my charger, a pad and some pens, and a lens cloth.Feedback
Have the right equipment, be patient, be ready, a moment can arise at any time and at any place and always be prepared. When post processing do not over process, if an image looks good with only minor corrections then don't over do it. Never try to make your image mimic someone else's, make it yours. Best piece of information I can give is know your equipment and what it can do and don't be afraid to make mistakes.
