Behind The Lens

Location

I was "scouting locations" on that day, so I was just riding around on my bicycle near my city. Found a interesting spot, where I saw flowers and snapped a quick shot.

Time

It was mid summer and some hours after noon. Was a really nice warm day with minimal clouds, if any at all.

Lighting

As it was a little after midday, the light was really-really bright. Other than that, nothing special about lighting.

Equipment

I used Canon Kiss-x4 aka Eos 550D with Canon 24-85mm lens.

Inspiration

As I was just scouting, I really didn't have any plans what and how to shoot. But I saw something that attracted my eye, so I decided to take a shot. I tried to get the main flowers to front and some bokeh background.

Editing

This picture is edited a lot, specially the colors. This is one photo, that I took and left just standing in my PC. After a year, I was looking through my older photos and decided to edit this, to make it look a little more interesting.

In my camera bag

I currently only own Canon Kiss x4/EOS 550D with 24-85mm lens and Manfrotto 290 tripod. This has been my main equipment for couple of years. I will get more lenses. Ideally I would have 3 lens setup - 10-18mm wide lens, 17-55mm kit lens and 70-300mm zoom lens - with either one or two bodys. One body would be with zoom lens, another with wide or kit lens, so I wouldn't have to switch the lenses all the time.

Feedback

Just look your older photos and think, how can you make them a little better - either re-shoot them or by editing them in some way.
