This was taken on a weekend get away from the city. Some new relatives (by marriage) run a farm right on the doorstep of Longleat House as well as being part of the Longleat Estate. This is one of the reservoirs dotted around the estate that are used to keep the trout fishing pools topped up, once a year somebody will come up and open the little gates to allow the water to flow further down the landscape.
