Canoeing through the Congaree National Park in 97 degree heat and 90% humidity. Many of the roads along the low-lying flood plains leading to the boat landings were destroyed during the floods this past October. Due to the afternoon's intense weather conditions and the river's inaccessibility, we didn't cross paths with a single park visitor. (June 2016)
