I took this picture in my garden, I knew I saw something special out of the corner of my eye, something fast and fluttering. It was a hummingbird butterfly, I later learned. Every year, my butterfly bush attracts butterflies, but this nice hummingbird is pretty unique.Time
I shot this around noon because then there is the most light in my garden.Lighting
At this time of day, it was just very sunny, so perfect for shooting this.Equipment
I used my Nikon D 7000 with a 70-300 mm VR lens, great for this kind of pictures because one can still shoot at maximum range without losing sharpness because of the VR, vibration function.Inspiration
I never encountered a hummingbird butterfly in Holland so naturally I had to shoot this little fellow.Editing
I did as little pp as possible to maintain the natural beauty of this insect. In my camera bag
I normally have my Lumix TZ in my bag because it's just handy.Feedback
Just make it your second nature to look out for something unique, always use your eyes and senses.
