Great eye for finding the simple things and making them important in pictures!

Location
This Photo was taken in my back yard in Minnesota. I am a self taught photographer who is hoping to go to the New York Institute of Photography to learn more and get better at taking photos.Time
It was a warm summer morning in June, the fog was so beautiful at this time. I remember getting up early and looking out the window to think it was so pretty outside and would make a perfect picture. So I put on my shoes, grabbed my camera and walked around my yard to get the perfect picture of the wooden cow feeder.Lighting
When I take pictures I always look at the picture to see if I like how the lighting looks and if I don't then I change my position and possibly settings on my camera. Never settle on a picture you don't like because you can't get the lighting right, just keep adjusting yourself and the picture until you are happy.Equipment
For this picture I used my Nikon D5200 with a AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED lens which I use very often when taking pictures.Inspiration
When I was 14 years old I took a picture of this cow feeder which I liked very much but lost. I wanted to try and retake the photo, although I did not get the picture I wanted but I did get this picture. Getting this picture did take a while since it is part of my yard which does get mowed so I had to make sure I only got the tall grass instead of mowed grass in the bottom of the picture.Editing
I did not shoot in raw or use a good light room or Photoshop to process this picture. I used an adobe app on my phone to lighten the picture very slightly then called it good.In my camera bag
In my camera bag I always have my Nikkon D5200 body, It is my favorite camera and takes the best pictures for me. For my lenses I have a AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED and my AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED. I always carry a camera rain protector in my bag as well just because weather can change, easier to just leave in my bag so I don't forget it. I have three flashlights so that when I am in the dark taking photos I can still get around and not worry about falling. I have one pack of Targus filters that I carry in my bag along with a pack of close up filters just in case I find something I want to get close up to. I also have two extra batteries so that when one dies then I can change them out and keep taking my pictures, I keep the batteries in their own plastic baggies so that if they explode they won't ruin anything else.Feedback
Always be patient when taking photos that you cant control what happens. If you like the scene you are looking at the you should capture it. Taking photos in light fog can be easy or hard depending on how you take in the picture and how patient you may be. The right angle of the picture is everything, you want to see the main subject of the picture but also want it to look wonderful and be able to know what it is.
