This tower on High Knob in Norton, Virginia was built to replace a beloved wooden fire tower that was burnt to the ground by vandals several years back. Although this new tower doesn't quite have the same character as the old one did, it is still a beautiful place to watch the sunset or gaze up at the heavens on a warm summer night.
