I once learned from a wise Navajo Elder that Hozho is a state of order and balance in the Diné world. This symmetry is an unique perspective of balance because it leaves room for linear movement and processes, balance is maintained throughout directional movement.
This shot above Tatahoysa Canyon represents Hózhó - the Colorado River makes a nearly perfectly symmetric bend in Marble Canyon. One end is longer than the other, the center riddled with cracks. Achieving balance in a directional path is difficult and sacred.
