This photo was taken at a visit to Longwood Gardens. I love flowers and the Bird of Paradise is beautiful and perfect I had to capture it on film.Time
It was during the afternoon inside their lrge greenhouse. The natuarl light coming through just made the flower come alive.Lighting
At that time of day it was not dark, so upon posting this picture, the light around the flower didn't bring out its sharp features, so I made the background darker before posting it.Equipment
I used a simple digital camera-I didn't need anything extra-Nature provided it.Inspiration

When taking pictures of flowers make sure you have the right angle, lighting, and a unique subject. A bove all, make sure it is one that you find utterly captivating. Also, I always like doing close ups of flowers-either the whole flower or a part of it- it gives you so many optioons
