This broken tree is standing watch over the White River valley near Mount Rainier. Came across this while hiking the Palisades Trail. It's in a clearing with about a 500 foot sheer drop of to the valley below. Its a nice contrast after coming out of a few miles of hiking moss covered rocks, lush cedar trees and waterfalls.
