Location
The photo was taken over the road that leads to the center of Thessaloniki, capital of Macedonia in Greece. As a new photographer I always have my camera with me.Time
Driving to the centre of the city, I have noticed the increased traffic and instantly decided that I should take that picture. This was taken on June 13, 2016 at 9:45 pm, almost 45 minutes after sunset.Lighting
It's just a natural light combined with city lights. The balance was almost perfect that day.Equipment
This was shot on Canon EOS 600D (t3i) with Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L is usm and Mefoto tripod.Inspiration
I like sunsets but twilight is the most interesting and dramatic natural light of the day. In combination with the city lights you can achieve wonderful images. I also love long exposure and car trails.Editing
Landscape requires a lot of processing, especially when you have to match different types of lights. In this case I lower the exposure on the bottom, crop 16:9 and change a little bit the white balance of the sky to emphasize, after the general white balance correction. In my camera bag
I shot with Canon eos 600d, the most of the time I use the Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L. I like the versatility of this lens. Even if I use it with a crop-sensor camera I like the results. My nifty fifty anyway is always in my bag.Feedback
The difficult part is to find interesting places. Always have in mind the safety of your life, especially if you try to capture a pic next to the road. Have pation, try different exposure and love it. I almost forgot...get your batteries fully charged.
