On a beautiful morning at Muttukad Backwaters near Chennai saw this beautiful Painted Stork walking and finding fishes to catch.Time
I woke up around 4AM in the morning(Local Time) and ride about 40 Kms from my place to Muttukad Backwaters to see this and many other beautiful birds.Lighting
The Bird was flying to this island of small stones which is in my west. So the sun lights up the bird and the stones perfectly for me to take this beautiful photoEquipment
Canon 7D, Tamron 150-600mm lens, Handheld and No Flash.Inspiration
I love watching Birds. I have been a bird watcher for about 6 years now. Also I love to document birds and I love photographing birds, They are like a challenge to me. They move constantly and it is bloody difficult to take photos of the birdsEditing
Yes, I have cropped a little for aspect ratio, and shadowed the image so that it is not reflecting much of the sun lightIn my camera bag

Dawn is the best time to take photo of birds. I've been going for bird watching ever other week for more than 6 years. Winter and summer are the best time in India as the Birds will be migrating to hot climates in winter and on summer they are just in time to migrate back.
