In the evening time, all insects choose their perch or a spot to rest themselves in the night. Typically, they want to be invisible from predators; as these insects do not get to move swiftly in the cool night. This beautiful hover fly was resting on tip of the grass that was strong enough to hold this beautiful insect. I uprooted the grass without disturbing this insect. Later, keep it under the light and used a reverse lens technique with a manual bounce flash to yield this shot. I used Nikon D5100, Nikon 18-55mm kit lens and a simple bounce flash to get this image. Thanks for viewing.
