Very well crafted. I think there is a bit of white that you need to touch up closer to the eye.

This lovely image reminds me of the famous Alexia Sinclair's photography. Thank you for sharing this.

Oh wow! I just Googled her - such wonderful images - I'm in love. Thanks for taking the time to suggest that - I'm not in her league but I certainly feel my mojo stirring when I see her images. πππππ

Thank you all for the lovely comments. People ask if I continue to shoot. Alas, no, I kind of lost my mojo and gave the studio up. But your comments are kind of stirring it up again and ..never say never

Location
Taken in my (now closed) studio some years ago.Time
I think I was doing an Intro to Studio Day - where we got a makeup artist in and a couple of models and just had a bit of fun whilst I showed how strobes worked. I found some netting and dried flowers and quickly arranged them on her and went to work balancing the lightsLighting
Less is more....but more gives you options. This was a 6 light setup but 4 of them were at minimum settings - we don't want those highlights blowing.Equipment
Nikon d800 - 6 x strobes Bowens or similar, hand held - who wants tripod legs getting in the way It was probably my 85mm prime which is really nice for portraitsInspiration
Beauty - it always inspires meEditing
Yes did quite a lot of frequency separation on this - some will think it's over the top but I like the tones, the softness of itIn my camera bag
I don't - I've long since lost my photography mojo but sneak in here and other places now and again to see if it will ever come backFeedback
It really is all about the light. 5 years practice helps Look at the subject - half close eyes - just want to see what shadows and highlights are doing - and tweak until you're happy
